The United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence later this year will trial enhanced radio-frequency identification tags readable from more than 100 feet to improve tracking of military supplies.

UK grocery chain Asda has confirmed plans to begin testing radio frequency identification (RFID) technology later this year.The company will follow its US parent Wal-Mart by piloting tracking technology to cut costs and improve staff and supply chain efficiency.
