State officials are issuing the cards at the Georgia Morse Middle School until Tuesday. Darin Johnson is a Sergeant with the Hughes County Sheriff’s Office. Johnson says, “This will allow them to gain access back to their residents after the security check points have been in place. And they will have these pass cards with them and the officers that are at the check points will be able to verify that they have a reason to be there.” Johnson says residents need to bring a South Dakota Driver License or ID card. He says those without an ID card or driver license are required to produce some other form of valid identification.
